About AMP
Since its launch in 2017, the Alumni Mentorship Program has provided opportunities for hundreds of students to gain an understanding of the actuarial science field and develop their professionalism. Through this program, alumni of all industries and backgrounds are able to guide current students in their journey to becoming a successful actuary. Over the course of a short series of meetings, alumni can share their personal experiences and advice for the mentee, while the mentee is able to ask any questions they may have. Potential discussion topics include SOA vs. CAS, exam preparation, interview tips, internships, elevator pitches, resumes, potential career paths, and anything else that comes to mind! This program is offered in both the Fall and Spring semesters.
