Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Actuarial Profession: As actuaries, you'll be expected to be professional in the work you do and in your interactions with your colleagues. Included in that professionalism is an understanding of how to treat others in a respectful and equitable way, especially those who identify differently than you do. During this session, representatives from the Sexuality and Gender Alliance of Actuaries (SAGAA) and the Organization of Latino Actuaries (OLA) will talk about what we mean when we talk about diversity, equity, and inclusion; how it applies to the insurance industry and actuaries; and how to be a better ally to those who identify differently than you do.
